"Unmasking the Malevolent Houseguest: A Tale of Deceit and Dark Forces"
In an unsettling turn of events, our household recently experienced a situation reminiscent of the dramatic television series, 'Super Story.' Approximately one month ago, we welcomed a 23-year-old woman named Happy Yahuda into our home as a new addition to our staff. During the initial interview, I inquired about her hometown, and upon learning that she hailed from Zango-Kataf in Kaduna state—a place I had a connection with from my secondary school days—I felt at ease. She also shared her previous work experience, explaining that her former employer had traveled abroad. At first, nothing seemed amiss, so we agreed to hire her.
Our family already employed a part-time janitor who did an excellent job. However, with two young children and the extended holiday season, my wife and I, both working full-time and often away due to my frequent travels, needed extra help to care for our kids. While Happy's role primarily involved accompanying and tending to the children under my wife's supervision, she seemed to get along well with them. Her interactions appeared to stem from her youthful nature.
There were even instances when I witnessed her teaching our 5-year-old to read, which sparked hope in me that she might be a good fit, despite past negative experiences with domestic staff.
However, that hope was shattered by a chilling incident that occurred yesterday. I had been away for most of the past month, and on a particularly pleasant Saturday, I decided to hit the tennis courts. That's when I received an unexpected call from home. Out of the blue, Happy announced her intention to quit her job immediately and demanded her one-month salary upfront. Typically, we pay their initial salaries to their respective agents, who deduct their commissions before remitting the balance. Thus, from my perspective, if she wished to leave, we would facilitate her departure.
As per our usual practice and past lessons learned, we conduct inspections of their belongings both when they arrive and before they leave. After permitting my wife to let her leave the premises, we asked Happy to present her bag for inspection. She hesitated but was instructed not to return to her quarters. When she finally complied, we discovered something deeply unsettling.
At the bottom of her bag, my wife found half of her entire collection of jewelry. Happy had surreptitiously pilfered everything, seemingly without discerning what was genuine gold and what wasn't. This included her wedding and engagement rings, along with other valuable gemstones and items. I immediately instructed them to detain her as I made my way home.
Upon my return, I learned of details that kept me up throughout the night. The seemingly innocent and likeable Happy was not merely a thief; she was part of an evil gang that deploys its agents into unsuspecting households. I was transfixed as I listened to her story, attempting to discern any fear or remorse, but all I saw was a young woman seemingly possessed.
At one point, my sister-in-law asked her about something the gang had given her to place in our home. I was amazed at how my sister-in-law had deduced this. Still trying to grasp the situation, I watched as Happy retrieved a knotted black cloth from her bag. I asked her to unravel it, revealing a red substance with a malleable, clay-like appearance. I requested anointing oil, poured it on the substance, and it began emitting a foul odor, transitioning from red to yellow and finally turning black. We began praying, and Happy started confessing.
Two weeks prior, my wife had asked Happy to help remove her hair extensions so she could visit the salon for a makeover. Unbeknownst to my wife, Happy had secretly cut pieces of her natural hair and kept them in a bag. She later revealed that this hair was intended for a sinister human sacrifice ritual.
According to her unsettling account, she had encountered these malevolent individuals around April 2023. They promised her wealth and conducted rituals that made money in various currencies appear before her. However, whenever she tried to touch the money, it would vanish.
The gang then provided her with charms and assigned her the task of stealing valuables from her employers. She was told that, by doing so, she would gain access to the money. Additionally, they instructed her to pick sand from the outside of the houses she entered and sprinkle it on the charm while speaking incantations to induce temporary amnesia in the occupants.
This was meant to ensure that stolen items went unnoticed, and the victims remained unaware. She was also warned never to let anyone see the charm, as its power would dissipate, and she might go mad.
The revelations I heard were too disturbing for my mind to process at my age. For the past month, we had unknowingly harbored and cared for someone connected to malevolent forces. She had unrestricted access to our children and even handled their meals. It is my duty, based on our experience, to expose this sinister network that plants its agents in unsuspecting households. Thus, I am sharing her photo and details in the hope that there will be no place to hide for individuals like her. Many of these individuals, like Happiness, were never seeking employment; their sole mission is theft, harm, and destruction.
In conclusion, be vigilant and cautious about the individuals you allow into your homes. Unlike me, consider maintaining a perpetual sense of suspicion.
May God protect us from evil."
