Multimillion naira Abuja duplex Demolished by FCTA
Cautions designers against disregard of guideline
The FCTA on Monday destroyed a multimillion-naira duplex situated at Plot 226 Cadastral Zone, A02 Wuse 1, Wuse Zone 6 Region, for expanding on an unapproved plot of land.
Addressing writers in Abuja on Monday, the Chief, Division of Advancement Control, Mukhtar Galadima, guaranteed that the structure was said to have a place with the late Alake of Egba Land, Oba Oye Lipede, yet was taken over by Ibrahim Kamba and Ademu Teku, who built the duplex against all alerts.
He noticed that his group needed to complete broad examination to determine the first proprietor of the plot of land, given differing claims that were being advanced by the gatherings, adding that the FCTA won't think about the situation with any defaulting engineer, when improvement rules and guidelines are disregarded.
Galadima said, "We wrecked the duplex since someone worked without legitimate title and building plan endorsement on another person land. Examination uncovered that the engineer isn't the proprietor of plot, to that end we needed to eliminate the structure.
"We permitted the structure to this stage prior to destroying it, since we needed to follow every one of the cycles. He was served every one of the notification to stop work, however being a hard-headed engineer, he went on without regarding to the notification we served.
"After our examination we discovered the first allottee, so we need to eliminate it. We will counsel the lawful division to know the following activity against the engineer"
